IL-7 treatment during contraction enhances CD8 T cell memory to VV. C57BL/6 mice were infected with recombinant VV, i.e., VV-GP that expresses the GP of LCMV. Mice were treated daily with IL-7 or PBS between days 7 and 14 after infection. On days 15 (A and B) and 45 (C and D) after infection, CD8 T cells specific to the VV epitope B8R and LCMV epitope GP33 were quantitated by intracellular staining for IFN-γ. Each symbol represents data from an individual mouse.
