Phosphorylation of myristoylated alanine-rich protein kinase C substrate (MARCKS) in intact
cells has been employed as an indicator for activation of protein kinase C (PKC). Specific
PKC isoenzymes responsible for MARCKS phosphorylation under physiological conditions,
