Bicyclic nucleoside analogues with a fixed N-type conformation, 2′-O, 4′-C-
methyleneuridine and-cytidine, were incorporated into oligonucleotides, and the binding
efficiency of the modified oligonucleotides to the complementary DNA and RNA as well as
the CD spectra of the modified DNA-DNA and modified DNA-RNA duplexes were studied.
